Selvedges...
28.4.13
the other day on facebook i asked what you thought i did when i fell in love with a fabric... and no, it´s not a hat, although sometimes, ok, a hat does come out, like this one, that belongs to Ana!
and someone else said i cut the selvedge and kept it in a book... and i do that too... but it wasn't that either....
some fabrics are true treasures, and some of the selvedges like this one from the hat, are small pieces of art. Worth keeping! So then, what is it i do with the fabric?

no correio... in the mail...
26.4.13
the note for the postman... (i am thinking of copying this great idea)
and the way it all was packed, would make the purchase worthwhile...
and the scarf... i am a sucker for scarves... and was flirting with these from daniela ponto final...
doesn´t take too much money to make a girl happy, and the truth is it will be worth checking out this girls work... she knows what she is doing!
a propósito de taras... qual é a tua?
tell me, what sort of thing can't you resiste too?

Comer fora com os miúdos!
18.4.13
Come com a mão, e, eu deixo. O chão fica sujo, e eu limpo.
My daughter is almost 2 and eats with her hands. I give her a fork, but she doesn't use it, and i try to feed her with another fork, but she won't eat. She eats with her hand, and i let her. The floor gets dirty, and i clean it. Childrens learn in their own time. The pediatrician says i should let her, but if he didn't i don't go there for what he thinks! Some younger moms say i act this way beacause i am older and learned to do things my way and not bother with others, but Hey, i was like this at 20!
We went out for lunch with little João's parents... And he enjoyed eating with his hands as well. And it was funny. And people (some) Thought it was funny, and the floor was full of spaguetti and meatballs, and the chairs and the clothes.... And some people stopped and looked, like you stop to Look at an accident out ON the street. And saíd "how awfull" as if WE were not good parents with Bad manners!
They are children. They will learn in their own time. And i have An. 8 year old who ate with his hands and is one of the best mannered kid i ever knew.
And i am almost 44 and have good manners. I even offered to clean it all, and didn't because they did not let me.
Let's stay Home just because our kids can't eat like grown Ups!
Let's be grown Ups and not bother with the way others raise their kids!
